Due
to the success of 1st Finchampstead’s recent “Eastrek” expeditions
we will be running the event again in Easter 2010 for both Scout Troops. The hike will be held in the New Forest and will run over the Easter weekend (April 2nd – 5th 2010).
There
will be two elements to the trip this year. The more experienced walkers will
do a point to point hike where they will stay at different sites over the
weekend, meeting up at Fernycrofts Scout Camp site for one of the evenings.
For
the less experienced walkers we will base ourselves at Fernycrofts and do day
hikes from the site. Scouts will be accommodated in a bunk house.
The
aim of this weekend is to give the scouts the opportunity of developing their
navigation skills, enjoy the outdoors and work towards several badges.
Costs
will be dependent on the number of scouts partaking in the event. The approximate cost will be £50 but an exact
figure will follow soon.
To
help us organise expenses please fill out and return the slip on the form below back to us by the 21st February 2009, with a non returnable deposit of 20 pounds made payable to 1st
