Eastrek 2008 – a report and pictures

The Scout Troop was out over the Easter break on Eastrek, a hike camp invented by the Leaders. In winds, snow and rain, 15 Scouts, plus a number of Explorer Scouts on an associated Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition, went on a hike along the Kennet and Avon Canal from Bath back towards home. Supported by a band of helpers and parents, the expedition was a great succes, and we intend to repeat it in future years. Some pictures, taken by Mark Popplestone who has passed them on for display, are below.

(The webmaster would like a full report from one of the Leaders who was there, since I was unavoidably detained at a separate event).
