Nancy Savage, our former Group Scout Leader and retiring Cub Scout Leader for Badgers Pack, invited all members of the Group to a Water Activities Evening at the Waterside Centre on the banks of the River Thames tonight.
Beavers and Leaders, Cubs and Scouts, all had a splashing time on the river, not many left dry.
The Group also received the Mike Nightingale Development Award from the DC, as the fastest growing group in the District (and 2nd fastest in the County).
We wish Nancy every happiness in her retirement. We haven’t seen the last of her, however. She is hoping to start a Group Fellowship section soon.
