Our Scout Headquarters, Finchbase, is now over 20 years old. To help to keep it up to scratch for the Group, we have decided to refurbish it extensively for the New Year. This, unfortunately, means that no sections will be able to meet in Finchbase until this is complete and means that all section meetings in Finchbase will recommence for the term during the week commencing Monday 19th Janauary. Some sections have arranged meetings at other places during this period – please contact your individual section leader if you have not yet receved any notification of these meetings.
We apologise for the slight delay in restarting our meetings, but it is to make sure that our facilities are as up-to-date as possible for all of our future events.
Note that meetings have now restarted, but the refubishment is not yet complete. We hope to have the climbing/traversing wall in operation by the end of January – it was found that a pure white wall was going to get dirty very quickly!
