90th Birthday Party – 10th
October
Longridge Watersports Centre – Marlow
As I hope you’re all aware 1st Finchampstead is
90 years old in 2009 and to celebrate this we’re holding a party……and you’re
all invited. Young, old, current members, former members and anybody associated
with the group.
We’ll start the day at 10.30am and finish with a camp fire at about 7.30. And
then if you’d like to you’re welcome to camp overnight to extend the
celebrations.
The day will start at 10.30am
and during the day we will have 3 activity slots where you will have the option
to try your hand at kayaking, climbing, Jacob’s Ladder or a leap of faith –
both on the climbing wall. Each of these will be at an individual charge of £5
per activity so you can pick and choose what you want to do – and how much you
want to spend.
We’ll also have other activities going on during the day
such as an assault course and a tug of war which will be free to enter.
The basic cost of the day will be £5/head which will include
soft drinks during the day and a BBQ in the evening. Everybody will need to
bring a packed lunch.
We appreciate that many people are busy and also that a lot
of the children will have other activities, such as football, on a Saturday so
we’ve structured the day so that you can turn up when you can.
Please make the effort to come
along as this will be a great family day and a good opportunity for Beavers,
Cubs and Scouts to try their hand at some great activities whilst celebrating
the great milestone of 90 years of Scouting in Finchampstead.
