All places for this camp have now been taken.
Autumn
Scout Camp will take place from Friday 30th October until Sunday 1st
November. This year we are going to Paccar at Chalfont Heights just north of Slough.
It is a great site and we will be camping in the woods. The cost is £55 for the weekend.
Scouts will be expected to arrive on the Friday between 6 and 7pm.
The theme for the weekend will be Halloween. There will be a Halloween party
planned for the Saturday night. The main
activity for the weekend will be orienteering along with other activities such
as high ropes, cyclocross and skittles.
All parents of Scouts attending should already have filled in the Permission to Camp Form attached and return it to the leaders on Thursday or Friday with a
Cheque for £55 made out to 1st Finchampstead Scout Group.
Attached is the kit list for those attending. It is really important to ensure all Scouts have the appropriate wet weather gear and suitable warm clothes and sleeping bag as it is highly likely to be cold especially at night.
We will need help during Friday 30th
October to help set up the tents and equipment ready for the Scouts to arrive
at 6pm. We will also
require help on the Sunday morning to help dismantle the camp as well. If any parents want to come along to help for
all the camp… or help to set up …or help to dismantle – please drop me an
email. Any help would be much
appreciated. Those that have helped in
the past have really enjoyed it.
