Oaks

Oaks Beavers Colony meet between 6pm and 7.15pm on a Monday evening.

Some of the activities we enjoyed last year include a Guy Fawkes campfire, international food tasting, Space night, pasta making, Tae Kwon Do, sno-tubing, cycling, Halloween Hike, Hot air balloon making, Brickies (Lego), a Mini Beast hunt, Pond dipping, visiting Warren Lodge retirement home and pancake making.

We also have a one night Sleepover (indoor camp) each summer term with many opportunities for Beavers to challenge themselves and take part in adventurous activities, such as climbing, low ropes, shooting hiking and (all-time favourite) fire lighting!

At Oaks we have 4 Lodges each with a Lodge Leader and an Assistant Lodge Leader. Each Lodge can earn Lodge Points and win the Lodge Points Trophy at the end of each term.

Beavers stay with us until around their 8th birthday. When it is time for a Beaver to move on to cubs we have a “Swimming Up Ceremony” to wish them all the best in their new section.
