Last term, as part of our Animal Carers badge, Badgers collected food and toys for the animals homed at the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre.
On Wednesday 9th September Badgers visited the Centre in Hurst for their meeting.
Sadly, it appeared that many of the animals had heard that we were coming and managed to get themselves re-homed earlier the same week!
Nevertheless, the Cubs had a wonderful time visitng the cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens – not to mention one or two other species, and asking lots of searching questions… DBARC aim not to refuse any animal that is in need of a home (although they did draw the line recently at receiving a rather large boa constrictor!)
The Centre is open to visitors and grateful for donations. Further information about the history and work of this local charity can be found by visiting their website http://www.dbarc.org.uk/
