With camp only a week away now it’s time for a reminder of the kit list!
For those who haven’t been to Camp before, this is a fairly standard camp kit list. Please make sure that all items are clearly labelled and, in the case of cutlery, plates etc, marked in such a way as to withstand washing-up.
80 members from the group, including Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, were part of a group of 200 from Wokingham district to visit the Hexagon Theatre in Reading to see Jack and the Beanstalk.
An all start cast, well nearly, headed by Toyah Wilcox – not as punky as in her singing days – put on a great performance. The highlight was the giant who was VERY large!!!
The group was well represented at the winter carnival with 3 floats entering, the first time each section has had a float.
The Beavers were fantastic as 101 Dalmatians and some leaders have clearly missed their vocation in life – who was that Cruella De Ville!!! But who did "let the dogs out"?
All Scouts and families are invited to join us for the
Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday
11th November 2007.
We shall meet outside the Memorial Hall in Finchampstead Village at 2.00 pm ready to march to the Memorial,

We regret to announce the sad death of Sam Clark, our President.
1st Finchampstead hosted the District Chess Tournament for Cub Scouts today. Cub Scouts from around the District took part and all had an enjoyable and hard fought day. The results of the tournament are below – congratulations to Badgers Pack who had a clean sweep of the podium positions!
The Cub Scouts from both packs enjoyed a fantastic camp at Runways End Scout Activity Site in Farnborough. The site was renamed Worlds End, as this year’s camp theme was ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.
Over 60 Cubs and Leaders enjoyed the camp with many activities and much fun.
The Scouts had a great Summer Camp this July on the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake in the English Lake District. The weather wasn’t always the greatest that we could have, but was much better than the reports of torrential rain and floods which we were receiving from further south!
Badgers Pack Cub Scouts have just had an excellent session of canoeing at the Waterside Centre on the River Thames. More photos in the Activities gallery.
