14th November 2008 was a great day for 1st
Finchampstead as we invested the 14 founder members of the new Willows Beaver
Colony.

An impressive number (over 100) of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts attended the Remembrance Parade and Service at Finchampstead War Memorial. It was great to see so many young people from the Group paying their respects to those who fought for our freedom. They are a credit to the Group.

All Scouts and families are invited to join us for the annual village Remembrance Day Parade on Sunday 9th November 2008.

We shall meet outside the Memorial Hall in Finchampstead Village at 2.00 pm ready to march to the Memorial. The parade will commence at 2.30 pm and the service at the Memorial Cross will commence at 3.00 pm.

Planning is already in progress for our 2008 Autumn Camp and we need your company and enthusiasm to make this another memorable Finch venture.

This autumn we are heading south to the New Forest to complete the pioneer’s badge.
